Nottingham Forest stunned Midtjylland to advance to the Europa League quarter-finals after a dramatic penalty shootout victory in Denmark.
After a 2-1 defeat on the night, Forest prevailed 3-0 on penalties as the Danish side missed all three spot-kicks.
The night started with Forest taking an early lead: Nicolás Domínguez scored a looping header, followed by a spectacular strike from captain Ryan Yates. Midtjylland’s Martin Erlic briefly leveled the match, sending the game into extra time.
