Brazilian superstar Neymar has successfully undergone arthroscopic surgery on his medial meniscus following the conclusion of the 2025 Serie A season.

The 33-year-old forward, who played a vital role in keeping Santos in the top division despite persistent pain, opted for the procedure to resolve long-standing knee issues ahead of a crucial 2026.

While the surgery was a success, Neymar is expected to miss the start of the 2026 preseason and the Campeonato Paulista. With his Santos contract set to expire on December 31, his recovery progress will be a major factor in contract extensions and his goal of making Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The player will now undergo a structured rehabilitation program to ensure he reaches peak fitness for the global tournament.
