Following its successful Eid-ul-Fitr release in Bangladesh, the Tanim Noor-directed film 'Banalata Express' is set for a massive international premiere. Starting April 3, the movie will be screened simultaneously in 52 theaters across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
International distributor Swapna Scarecrow confirmed that the film will debut on 38 screens in the US and 10 in Canada. In the UK, the film will be shown in 4 theaters through distribution partner Reverie Films. Major cinema chains hosting the film include AMC, Regal, Cineplex, Cinemark, Showcase, and Cineworld.
The film features an ensemble cast of Bangladesh's top talent, including Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Shariful Raj, Sabila Noor, Shyamal Maula, Zakia Bari Mamo, and Ajmeri Haque Badhan. With 15 more international screens than the previous record-holder 'Utsav', producers are optimistic that 'Banalata Express' will set a new benchmark for Bangladeshi cinema's commercial success abroad.
