Bangladesh Jamaat Islamin Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman will address two election rallies in Faridpur focusing on the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections.

He will participate in election rallies at Boalmari Stadium in Faridpur-1 constituency and at Government Rajendra College Ground in Sadar at 8 pm in Faridpur-3 constituency.

A press conference was held at the city's Chawkbazar party office on behalf of the district Jamaat Islami in this regard. Jamaat candidate for Faridpur Sadar constituency Professor Abdut Tawab, district Ameer Badruddin, convener of the rally preparation committee Imtiaz Uddin Ahmed, district secretary Professor Abdul Wahab spoke there.

Faridpur Jamaat Ameer's election preparation meeting convener Imtiaz Uddin Ahmed said, Ameer Jamaat will address election rallies in two parliamentary constituencies of Faridpur, one will be held in the evening at Boalmari Stadium and the other will be held at the city's Government Rajendra College Ground in the Sadar constituency at 8 pm as the chief guest. Extensive preparations have been made on our part for this occasion. The party chief's leaders and activists are excited about the arrival of Faridpur.

According to the district Jamaat sources, After finishing the election rally in Narail on Friday, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman will join the Boalmari rally, and later he will participate in the rally at Faridpur Government College Ground at 8 pm.

From the Faridpur branch of the district Jamaat Islami, Secretary General Professor Abdul Wahab said, Insha Allah, more than a lakh people will gather in our two rallies. To this end, law enforcement agencies will be on alert along with their own security arrangements. In addition, more than two hundred of their own volunteers will be deployed.

On Thursday, when we went to the rally site, it was seen that work was underway to build a stage in front of the academic building of the college grounds. In addition, work was underway to install sound system microphones and sound boxes across the grounds.

At that time, leaders and activists of Faridpur divisional BNP, district BNP and various organiza- tions were present on the grounds.

Meanwhile, leaders and activists expressed various expectations surrounding the arrival of Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. One of their demands is the implementation of Faridpur division, full-fledged university, army cantonment and college.

District Superintendent of Police Md. Nazrul Islam said, 'The police administration has taken necessary measures to ensure that there is no chaos in this public meeting centered on the elections. In addition, other law enforcement agencies will also be on the grounds. I hope they will be able to hold the rally peacefully.'
