


Shanti Chakra Blood Society, a voluntary blood donation organization based in Shantiganj, celebrated its second founding anniversary on Friday with a discussion meeting, award presentation, and the announcement of its new executive committee for 2026–2027.
The event was held at 2:00 pm in the meeting room of the Muktijoddha Complex in Shantiganj Bazar. It was chaired by Emdadul Uloom Kamrupdalong Madrasa Muhtamim Maulana Abdul Hai. The session was jointly conducted by July fighter Ali Ahmed Dulal, Campaign Affairs Secretary Sulaiman Hanafi, and General Secretary Rahat Ahmed.
Sunamganj District BNP Convener Committee member Ansar Uddin attended as the chief speaker. Special guests included District BNP Convener Committee member Nur Ali, Joykal Union Parishad Chairman Abdul Basit Sujan, Shantiganj Upazila BNP Joint Convener Abul Kashem Naeem, Islami Andolan Bangladesh Sunamganj District General Secretary Maulana Suhel Ahmed, Shantiganj Press Club President Sohel Talukder, Blood Warrior Maulana Nur Ahmed Chuapuri, Maulana Matiur Rahman, Maulana Mahbub Salman, Maulana Sayeduuzzaman Al Haider, Maulana Abdullah Gazinagari, Shantiganj Upazila Jubo Dal Joint Convener Farid Ahmed, Metropolitan Jubo Dal Co-Organizing Secretary Ripon Ahmed, and Chhatra Dal leader Mansur Ahmed.
Representatives from numerous voluntary, humanitarian, and blood donation organizations across Sunamganj and Sylhet also attended the program.
A key highlight of the event was the announcement of the new executive committee for 2026–2027. Abu Saleh was elected President, while Rahat Ahmed was elected General Secretary.
The committee also includes Senior Vice President Ali Ahmed Dulal; Vice Presidents Yahia, Sultan Ahmed, and Mizanur Rahman; Co-General Secretaries Tofail Ahmed, Dilawar Hossain, and Walid Ahmed; Campaign Affairs Secretary Sulaiman Hanafi; Organizing Secretary Kamruzzaman; Co-Organizing Secretary Hridoy; Finance Secretary Hammad Ahmed; Publicity Secretary Salman Ahmed; Office Affairs Secretary Rumel Ahmed; and Executive Members Hasan Ahmed, Shakib Ahmed, and Muhibur Rahman.
The newly elected leaders pledged to continue working to ensure safe blood supplies, expand humanitarian assistance, and strengthen the organization's social welfare activities.
At the end of the program, Shanti Chakra Blood Society presented commemorative mementos to guests, representatives of participating organizations, volunteers, members, and supporters in recognition of their contributions to the successful celebration.
