BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Aniee said, there has been no election for 17 years, there was no opportunity for elections. Those in power did not just run away.

They have become public enemies, have become public enemies. They have looted, corrupted and corrupted. That is why the people's expectations of today's Bangladesh are high for me and you. People's expectations of political parties and political figures are so high, people want a qualitative change in political figures.

He said these things as the chief guest in his speech at the award distribution ceremony of the Qiraat and Azan competition in Chandkhali village of Laharkandi union of Lakshmipur Sadar upazila on Friday (October 31) afternoon. This was organized by the initiative of As-Suffa Jubo Foundation.

Warning the party leaders and activists, Aniee said that everyone should be vigilant and careful. If we want to cause harm by using the name of the party in any way, BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has made the right decision, no such opportunity will be given in BNP.

Since people have the highest expectations from this party. For this reason, the leaders have to work vigilantly. Every step has to be taken for the common people, for the welfare, for the area.

He said, the country has not yet held elections, there have been no elected representatives. Conspiracies are still working in many ways. But this society is ours, we have to keep it right. Then we have to convey the message of light to the society, to the people, so that drugs cannot act as a major disease in any way.

He said, terrorism is involved with drugs. Rahajani, theft, robbery, toutari, bartering are all involved. We have to make this society a drug-free society. This is a big challenge for us.

The event was chaired by Shamsul Alam Litu, Chief Advisor of As-Suffa Jubo Foundation, and moderated by General Secretary Faisal Mahmud. The event was attended by special guests including Muhammad Ismail, Vice-Principal of Lakshmipur Darul Ulum Kamil Madrasa, Hasibur Rahman, Member Secretary of District BNP, Shah Mohammad Emran, General Secretary of Sadar Upazila (East) BNP, and Mozammel Hossain Mohabbat, Panel Chairman of Laharkandi Union Parishad, among others.
