


Md. Mostafizur Rahman, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Naogaon-1, held a view-exchange meeting with local officials and Union Parishad (UP) chairmen at the Porsha Upazila Parishad auditorium on Wednesday.
Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam, the session focused on accelerating development and improving public service delivery.
Key attendees included Agriculture Officer Mamunur Rashid, Livestock Officer Dr. Jahangir Alam, Thana Officer-in-Charge Ziaur Rahman, and several UP panel chairmen. Local political figures, including former Upazila BNP Senior Vice President Taufiqur Rahman Chowdhury and General Secretary Sadequl Islam, were also present.
During the meeting, MP Mostafizur Rahman reviewed the progress and challenges across various sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, and infrastructure. He emphasized the need for transparency and sincerity, urging officials to ensure that government services reach the grassroots level effectively.
"Sustainable development requires coordinated efforts between public representatives and the local administration," the MP stated, aligning his vision with the latest government initiatives.
Following the discussion, the MP attended the Upazila Parishad’s monthly coordination meeting. Earlier in the day, he was honored with a crest by the Upazila Primary Education Department and inaugurated a new dental treatment program at the Upazila Health Complex.
