


Local leaders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) formally welcomed the newly appointed Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) SM Mostafizur Rahman in Lohagara on Thursday afternoon.
The delegation led by senior Supreme Court lawyer and BNP leader Dr. Fariduzzaman Farhad met the new UNO at his office. The courtesy visit was followed by a view-exchange meeting at the upazila conference room.
During the session speakers urged the new administrator to remain dedicated to implementing pro-people development initiatives, specifically highlighting the political vision of BNP leader Tarique Rahman.
Acting Upazila BNP General Secretary Tipu Sultan moderated the event, which featured remarks from Acting President Md. Hemayet Hossain and Dr. Farhad. A broad coalition of local figures attended including former Lohagara Municipality Mayor Advocate Newaz Ahmed Thakur Nazrul senior journalists, and representatives from BNP’s student youth and volunteer wings.
In response to the delegation UNO SM Mostafizur Rahman expressed his gratitude. "I will sincerely strive to fulfill my assigned responsibilities with strict ethics and morality," he assured the attendees.
