Student Md. Hasibur Rahman of Lohajang upazila in Munshiganj is representing the district at Bangladesh Scouts’ first-ever National Adventure Camp, bringing pride to his school and local community.
The five-day camp, organised by Bangladesh Scouts, is being held from August 26 to 30 across various tourist and adventure destinations in Kaptai of Rangamati, Bandarban and Cox’s Bazar.
Hasibur is a science-group student of Government Haldia High School in Lohajang. A total of 60 selected Scouts from across Bangladesh are participating in the inaugural national adventure camp.
Hasibur has already earned significant recognition in scouting. In 2019, he received the Prime Minister’s Award (Shapla Cub Award). In 2024, he was awarded the President’s Scout Award (PS Award).
He also achieved GPA-5 in the 2026 SSC examination from the science group.
Hasibur has previously participated in several national and international Scout camps, successfully completing various activities. His participation in the first National Adventure Camp has added another milestone to his scouting journey.
Hasibur’s father, Muhammad Zahidul Islam, is head of the Bangla Department at Government Lohajang College. His mother, Reshma Akhter, is the acting headteacher of Bejgaon Government Primary School.
His parents said they are proud of their son’s continued involvement in scouting as well as various social and educational activities. They expressed gratitude to his teachers and officials at the upazila, district, Dhaka regional and national levels for supporting his journey.
They hope Hasibur will grow into an exemplary citizen and dedicate himself to the welfare of the country and its people. They also sought everyone’s prayers and blessings for his future.
Local residents view Hasibur Rahman’s success as an inspiring example for students and young people in Lohajang, particularly those interested in scouting, education and community service.
