


As part of a nationwide central program, the Chattogram Metropolitan BNP organized a special prayer and doa mahfil on Saturday, December 27. The event was held to seek the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and the safe return of Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his family to Bangladesh after 17 years.
The gathering took place following the Asr prayers at the mosque adjacent to the Nasim Bhaban, the party’s metropolitan office in Chattogram. The mahfil was attended by a significant number of senior leaders, local activists, and ordinary devotees.
The prayer session was led and attended by key figures of the Chattogram Metropolitan BNP, including Nazimur Rahman (Member Secretary), Mohammad Mia Bhola, Harun Zaman, Yasin Chowdhury Liton, Shihab Uddin Mobin, and Manjurul Alam Manju (Joint Conveners), Abul Fayez, Mujibul Haque, Zafar Ahmed, and Nur Uddin Nuru (Convener Committee Members), Selim Hafez (Convener, Metropolitan Tanti Dal) and Moniruzzaman Murad (Member Secretary)
The primary focus of the mahfil was to offer collective Dua for the full and rapid recovery of the party's Chairperson, Begum Khaleda Zia, who has been battling health complications. Also the safe and honorable return of Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his family members, who have remained abroad for nearly two decades.
The event concluded with a special munajat (supplication), where attendees prayed for the health of the leadership and the overall welfare of the country.
