


In the last 24 hours 10 people across the country have died after being infected with measles or showing measles-like symptoms. Among them, one death was confirmed as measles, while the other nine were classified as suspected cases.
The update was provided by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday (May 3).
According to DGHS data, a total of 50 people have died from confirmed measles infections since March 15. During the same period, 244 deaths have been reported with suspected measles symptoms.
Since March 15, 5,313 measles cases have been officially confirmed. In addition, 40,491 suspected cases have been recorded nationwide.
So far, 27,816 people with suspected measles have been admitted to hospitals, while 20,090 patients have been discharged after treatment.
Health authorities continue to monitor the situation and urge the public to seek medical care if symptoms appear.
