Biman Bangladesh Airlines has extended the suspension of all flights from Dhaka to Dammam and Riyadh until November 4, according to Bangladesh local time and date.
In a press release issued on Sunday, October 25, the national flag carrier said the decision was taken to ensure passenger safety amid ongoing attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia.
The airline said passengers could use Jeddah and Madinah international airports to travel to Saudi Arabia or return to Bangladesh in case of urgent travel needs.
Considering passenger demand, Biman has been operating two flights daily on the Dhaka-Jeddah route since October 16, based on Bangladesh local time and date. The service will continue until November 4.
Meanwhile, regular flights on the Dhaka-Madinah route are being operated using Boeing 787 aircraft.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines said it would announce further decisions regarding the suspended flights and updated schedules in due course.
