Pop megastar Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce are reportedly married according to Page Six. The couple both 36, recently exchanged vows in front of a small and intimate group of loved ones just days ahead of a highly anticipated celebration at New York’s Madison Square Garden (MSG).
While Swift’s publicist has not yet confirmed the nuptials, preparations for a lavish party are well underway. Reports indicate the couple hosted a 100-person private event at MSG on Thursday, which will be followed by a massive 1,000-guest celebration on Friday.
The area surrounding the iconic arena has been tightly secured. Police have set up barricades, closed surrounding streets and blocked pedestrian walkways. Guests entering the venue are required to adhere to strict confidentiality agreements.
A star-studded guest list is expected for what fans have dubbed "America's royal wedding." Celebrities including Bradley Cooper, Lena Dunham, Erin Andrews and music producer Jack Antonoff have already been photographed near the site in formal attire.
Amid the wedding festivities couple has also prioritized giving back. Swift’s publicity team confirmed on Thursday that she and Kelce donated $26 million to various charities across New York City and other locations this week.
The wedding celebrations coincide with a particularly busy and sweltering Independence Day weekend in New York City. The city is currently facing a heat emergency, alongside major events like the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and a nearby World Cup soccer match.
Addressing the extreme weather, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani humorously referenced the high-profile event also advising residents to stay indoors. “If you happen to be getting married at MSG, you will be staying inside and staying cool and I think it’s a good example to set for the city at large,” the mayor told reporters.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August after a highly publicized romance that captured global attention.
