Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan took to Instagram on December 8th to wish her mother-in-law, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, a happy 81st birthday, sharing a series of personal photos and heartfelt messages.
Kareena shared three photos on her Instagram to mark the occasion. The first picture featured Sharmila Tagore having a sweet moment with her son, Saif Ali Khan, seemingly with a young Taimur. The second photo showed Kareena walking alongside her mother-in-law. The third image appeared to capture another childhood moment between Sharmila and Taimur. Kareena captioned the full post, "Happy birthday dearest Mother-in-law," and included individual captions for the photos, such as "Happy birthday Amma," "Always trying to follow in your footsteps," and "All heart, always."

Sharmila Tagore was recently seen in the Bengali film "Puratawn" a few months ago. Back in April, Kareena publicly praised Sharmila Tagore for her return to Bengali cinema after almost 14 years, calling her the "original Bengal tigress."
The film, directed by Suman Ghosh, focuses on the bond between a mother, played by Tagore, and her daughter, played by Rituparna Sengupta.
