


The BNP candidates who won three of the 16 parliamentary constituencies in Chittagong in the 13th National Parliament election are from Gahira village in Raozan upazila. Three residents of this village won in three constituencies with the symbol of a sheaf of rice.
Since the announcement of the results of the National Parliament election, there has been a tide of happiness in the village.
The three MPs who have been elected from this village this time are Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury in Chittagong-6 (Raozan) constituency, Hummam Quader Chowdhury, his nephew and son of Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury, who was sentenced to death for war crimes, in Chattogram-7 (Rangunia) constituency, and Sayeed Al Noman, elected from Chittagong-10 (Double Mooring, Halishahar) constituency.
Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury, who won in Chattogram-6 (Raozan) constituency, received 112,237 votes. His nearest rival, Bangladesh Islamic Front's candle symbol candidate Ilias Noori, received 27,146 votes. In addition, Jamaat-e-Islami's nominated scale symbol candidate Md. Shahajahan Manju received 22,118 votes.
Hummam Quader Chowdhury, who won the Chattogram-7 (Rangunia) constituency, received 1,242 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat's scale symbol candidate Dr. ATM Rezaul Karim, received 39,485 votes.
