


Gold prices in Bangladesh have dropped again after two reductions ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has cut the price of gold by Tk 5,482 per bhori, setting the new price of 22-carat gold at Tk 2,41,445.
BAJUS announced the decision in a notification on Wednesday (March 25). The revised prices came into effect from 10:00 am.
The association said the adjustment was made due to a decline in the price of pure gold in the local market, taking into account the overall market situation.

Previously, on March 19, BAJUS reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 7,698, setting it at Tk 2,46,927 per bhori, effective from 3:45 pm that day.
So far this year, gold prices have been adjusted 46 times in the domestic market—raised 26 times and reduced 20 times. In 2025, prices were revised 93 times, including 64 increases and 29 decreases.
