To combat the spread of dengue, a public awareness rally, cleanliness drive, and leaflet distribution were held in Pabna on Saturday morning.
The Pabna District Administration and the local municipality jointly organized the initiative in Narayanpur Mahalla, Ward No. 11.
Participants marched through local roads to raise awareness, distributed informative leaflets to residents, and cleaned neighborhood areas to destroy potential mosquito breeding grounds.
Speakers at the event emphasized that government efforts alone cannot stop the spread of dengue. They urged families to take active responsibility by keeping their homes clean and ensuring water does not stagnate for more than three days.
Key officials present included Additional Deputy Commissioner and Municipality Administrator Khairul Islam, Press Club General Secretary Zahurul Islam, and former Panel Chairman Faridul Islam Dalu, alongside municipal engineers and executive officers.
