


A joint law enforcement operation in Satkhira’s Kaliganj Upazila resulted in the seizure of 1,649 bottles of Phensedyl and the arrest of two suspected drug traffickers early Saturday.
The drive, conducted between 2:00 am and 10:55 am on April 25, 2026, targeted the Khanjia area near the border. Led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Rezaul Karim, a team from RAB-6 Satkhira executed the raid approximately one kilometer from the Khanjia BGB camp.
The arrestees have been identified as Imran Hossain (30) of Khanjia village and Kamal Hossain (33) of Paschim Seyara village.
Sources confirmed that both the suspects and the seized narcotics have been handed over to the RAB-6 Satkhira camp. Legal proceedings are currently underway. Law enforcement officials emphasized that patrols in border regions will be intensified to dismantle drug syndicates and apprehend ringleaders.
