


A free medical camp has been held in Ishwardi, Pabna to provide medical services to at least 5,000 patients. The camp was held on Friday (October 24) at the grounds of Ishwardi Alhaj High School, under the initiative of Professor Abu Taleb Mandal Supporters Forum.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Alam, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Khairul Kabir, Additional Superintendent of Police Pranab Kumar, former Chairman of Atgharia Upazila Maulana Zahurul Islam and others spoke at the inaugural ceremony of the camp, chaired by Professor Abu Taleb Mandal, Ameer of Pabna District Jamaat-e-Islami.
Speakers at the event said, "Medical service is one of the basic needs of people. But medical service in our country is somewhat weak. The medical service being provided through this camp will benefit the people of Ishwardi. I hope that if we come forward in this way, we will be able to improve our medical service."
Professor Abu Taleb Mandal said that medical services are being provided to about 5,000 patients. 30 specialists from different places including Rajshahi Medical College and Pabna General Hospital are providing medical services. More than 250 volunteers are working. Not only medical services, medicines will be provided to those who cannot afford to buy medicines.
