


State Minister for Railways Habibur Rashid travelled on the Cox’s Bazar Express to inspect rail service quality and passenger facilities.
The minister boarded Train No. 814 at Kamalapur Railway Station and reached Chattogram late Thursday night as part of a surprise inspection.
During the journey, he inspected different coaches and spoke directly with passengers. He gathered feedback on service quality, punctuality, cleanliness, safety and overall travel experience.
Bangladesh Railway (Eastern Region) General Manager Md. Subaktagin and other officials accompanied him.
Speaking during the visit, the minister said the government is working to make rail travel safer, easier and more comfortable. He added that further steps will be taken to modernise services and improve passenger facilities.
He also urged railway officials to be more responsible and ensure better service delivery.
Passengers shared their experiences and suggestions, with many expressing satisfaction over recent improvements and expectation for further development. After the inspection, the minister said visible progress has been made in railway services due to recent initiatives and expressed satisfaction with the overall situation.
