Old Barungka Madrasa Honours top Students and Local Achievers

Old Barungka Dakhil Model Madrasa in Tahirpur Upazila held a reception to honour meritorious students and distinguished local personalities on Wednesday.

The programme took place at the madrasa auditorium, with its president Suhel Alam in the chair and Superintendent Zakaria Ahmed moderating.

District Organising Secretary of Citizens for Good Governance (SUJON), Nurul Hasan Ataher, attended as the chief guest. Among the special guests were Trust Bank Sunamganj branch officer Minhajul Islam Thanvi, teacher Zakaria Khaled, and managing committee member Md. Habibur Rahman.

Several retired teachers, government officials, and community figures were present as honoured guests.

Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of education and community service, urging students to pursue academic excellence and moral values.

A total of 19 students, who secured top positions in different classes, were awarded for their achievements. In addition, 17 individuals were honoured for their contributions to various professions and community development in the area.
