The District Detective Branch (DB) arrested three individuals and seized 2,500 Yaba tablets during two separate raids near the Padma Bridge area on Wednesday.

In the first operation, detectives raided a paved road near the Padma Bridge ETCS Tag Registration Center in the Uttar Medenimandal area. During the sweep, they arrested Saiful Islam Babu (28) and Rabeya (45) with 1,500 Yaba pills in their possession.

Following a preliminary interrogation, the team conducted a second raid at approximately 4:30 PM on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway. Acting on information provided by the initial suspects, police apprehended Md. Shoaib, alias Sourav (40), near the Khanbari bus stand weight scale with an additional 1,000 Yaba pills.

Munshiganj Superintendent of Police Md. Menhazul Alam confirmed the arrests via a press release, stating that legal proceedings against the three suspects are currently underway.
