Chief Adviser directs armed forces to ensure blanket security during election

The chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force have jointly assured the Chief Adviser of the armed forces' complete preparedness to carry out election duties and maintain law and order during the upcoming polls.

A total deployment of over 92,500 personnel has been planned, featuring a substantial contingent of 90,000 Army personnel and 2,500 members of the Navy, along with a contingent from the Air Force.

National Security Adviser Khalilur Rahman was also present during the meeting, at the meeting, Prof. Yunus lauded the members of the armed forces for their dedication and hard work in maintaining law and order and ensuring national security. Chief Adviser also said members of the army and other forces have worked tirelessly over the past 15 months to uphold law and order across the country.

The Army's strategic plan includes deploying one company in every upazila. Furthermore, the service chiefs used the meeting as an opportunity to formally invite the Chief Adviser to the upcoming Armed Forces Day celebrations scheduled for November 21.
