NASA has issued a sharp rejection of reality television star Kim Kardashian’s assertion that the 1969 Moon landing was faked.
The claim, made on a recent episode of "The Kardashians," saw the celebrity citing alleged quotes from astronaut Buzz Aldrin to support the decades-old conspiracy theory.
NASA Acting Administrator Sean Duffy responded directly on social media platform X, confirming the agency's history with a concise rebuttal: "Yes, we've been to the Moon before... 6 times!"
Duffy tagged Kardashian in his post and highlighted the agency’s current lunar exploration program, Artemis, stating, "We won the last space race and we will win this one too." He then extended an invitation for Kardashian to attend the upcoming Artemis mission launch at the Kennedy Space Center.
The agency's response comes as conspiracy theories about the Apollo 11 mission continue to circulate, nearly 50 years after Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took the first steps on the Moon.
