The price of gold has fallen again in Bangladesh. On Thursday (June 25), the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (BAJUS) reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 2,216 per bhori, bringing the new price down to Tk 2,23,216, including VAT.
The updated rates took effect at 10:00 a.m. today. This follows another major reduction on Wednesday (June 24), when BAJUS lowered the 22-carat gold price by Tk 5,481 to Tk 2,25,290.
According to a BAJUS press release, the association adjusted the rates in response to a decline in the local market price of pure gold.
New Gold Prices per Bhori (11.664 grams), including VAT:
22-carat: Tk 2,23,216
21-carat: Tk 2,13,042
18-carat: Tk 1,82,950
Traditional Gold: Tk 149,474
The gold market has seen heavy volatility this year. So far in 2026, BAJUS has adjusted domestic gold prices 81 times—raising rates 40 times, lowering them 40 times, and adjusting the VAT structure once.
