Bangladesh received $8.798 billion in remittances from July 1 to October 3 of the current 2026-27 fiscal year, marking a 15.1% increase compared with the $7.643 billion received during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
According to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank, expatriate Bangladeshis sent $206 million in remittances between October 1 and 3, 2026.
During the corresponding period last year, remittance inflows stood at $57 million.
The significant growth in remittance inflows has been driven by increased transfers sent home by Bangladeshi migrant workers during the first few months of the current fiscal year.
The rise in remittance inflows has contributed to notable growth in the country’s overall remittance earnings so far in FY2026-27.
