


A harmony rally was held in Kalia, Narail, on Tuesday to strengthen communal harmony, mutual respect and social unity.
Organised by the upazila administration at the Kalia Upazila Parishad auditorium, the rally brought together leaders of different religions, public representatives, civil society figures, and people from various political, social and professional backgrounds.
Narail Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam attended as chief guest. Also present were Narail Superintendent of Police Mohammad Al-Mamun Sikder, Kalia Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Robin Halder, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sraboni Biswas, and Kalia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Idris Ali. Kalia Upazila Executive Officer Md. Jinnatul Islam presided over the event.
In his speech, DC Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam said everyone, regardless of religion or caste, should maintain harmony through mutual respect, tolerance and goodwill, adding that all must play a responsible role in building a peaceful society.
SP Mohammad Al-Mamun Sikder said mutual cooperation is essential for social peace and security, urging people to stay alert and united against activities that threaten religious harmony.
