


Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested Abdul Hamid (45), a key accused in the murder case of Hossain Ali alias Thakur in Pabna. The arrest took place in the Bayezid Bostami area of Chattogram on Friday night.
Hamid, the son of the deceased Abdul Karim from Zafrabad village in Pabna Sadar Upazila the number four accused in the murder case.
RAB-12 Pabna Camp Company Commander Lt. Commander BN Wahiduzzaman confirmed the arrest. He stated that a joint team from RAB-12 and RAB-7 acting on intelligence raided the Banglabazar area under the Bayezid Bostami Police Station to apprehend the suspect. Following his arrest, Hamid was handed over to the local police station for legal proceedings.
The victim Hossain Ali, was shot dead by attackers in front of his son near a madrasa in Pabna on June 8, 2026.
