Chatmohar Premier League 2026 Player Auction Held in Pabna

The player auction for the Chatmohar Premier League (CPL) 2026 was held in Pabna on Wednesday evening.

The auction, organized by the Chatmohar Cricketers Association, took place at a restaurant in Chatmohar Municipality Sadar at 7 pm. More than 100 registered players were selected by team owners through a lottery-based auction process.

A discussion meeting was also held during the event. It was chaired by Cricketers Association President Russell Sheikh.

Among those who spoke were Chatmohar Press Club President Helalur Rahman Jewel, General Secretary SM Masud Rana, Bangladesh Nationalist Sports Party Central Committee member Ashraful Alam Helal, and Chatmohar Sports Academy Convener Touhidul Islam Tajul.

The event was hosted by Chatmohar Cricketers Association General Secretary Sabbir Ahmed.

Sabbir Ahmed said six teams will participate in the tournament. Through the auction, the teams selected a total of 108 players. He added that the tournament will begin soon, while the final match is scheduled to be held a day before Eid.
