


The government has distributed free seeds and chemical fertilizers to 3,900 farmers in Narail Sadar Upazila to boost Aush paddy production during the Kharip-1 season.
The distribution ceremony took place at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Saturday at noon. Each selected farmer received a package consisting of 5 kg of Aush paddy seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer, and 10 kg of MOP fertilizer.
Md. Ataur Rahman Bachchu, Member of Parliament for the Narail-2 constituency, attended as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of transparency in the distribution process.
"We must ensure these incentives reach genuine farmers without any nepotism," the MP stated. "This program is designed to support our small and marginal farmers, ultimately increasing our national Aush paddy yield."
The event was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) TM Rahsin Kabir, with a welcome address delivered by Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Rokonuzzaman.
