


To enhance farmers' professional skills, improve nutrition, and create agricultural entrepreneurs, a day-long "Partner Field School Congress" was held in Narail's Lohagara upazila on Tuesday (June 9).
The Upazila Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) organized the event at the Upazila Parishad auditorium at 10:00 am. The initiative is part of the government’s PARTNERS (Program on Agriculture and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Resilience in Bangladesh) project.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shammi Kaiser presided over the event, while Narail DAE Deputy Director Md. Arifur Rahman attended as the chief guest. Upazila Agriculture Officer Munmun Saha delivered the welcome address, outlining the core objectives of the PARTNERS project.
Special guests included Jamaat-e-Islami Narail district working council member Maulana Alamgir Hossain, along with Lohagara upazila BNP acting president Md. Hemayet Hossain and acting general secretary Md. Tipu Sultan.
Farmers and field-level agricultural officials from various unions attended the program. During the congress, successful farmers shared their practical field experiences and success stories. Discussions also focused on sustainable agricultural development, chemical-free safe food production, and strategies to further strengthen the local rural economy.
