The 3rd quarterly meeting of Citizens Group (CG) members was held as part of the "Sustainable Development" program with the participation of the people of Bangladesh in Biswambharpur Upazila of Sunamganj district to ensure citizen participation and good governance.

The meeting was held at 11 am on Monday under the Citizenship Project in the Conference Room of Biswambharpur Upazila Parishad.

The meeting discussed in detail the implementation and progress of the decisions of the previous quarterly meeting. The Citizens Group members shared their experiences of the social audit activities conducted in their respective areas. A detailed plan was made on which important grassroots issues would be highlighted in the 'Review and Reflection' meeting to be held with the Deputy Commissioner (DC).

In the meeting, the members expressed their views on the voting experience of the citizens in the 2026 national elections and the changes in the local government structure after the elections and the current situation. The participants mentioned that one of the main goals of this program is to bring these grassroots opinions and experiences to the policy-making level. In addition, guidelines were also provided to the citizens on what to do to solve various problems at the local level.

At the end of the meeting, the Upazila Executive Officer, Mr. Abdul Matin Khan, entered the meeting and informed about the project and said that you are doing good work for the society, for this the Upazila Executive Officer called on all the members to keep in touch with him regularly and he gave his mobile number to everyone and advised them to inform him immediately if any irregularities occur in the area. It is worth noting that this meeting was organized by Efforts for Rural Advancement (ERA) under the management of GFA Consulting Group GmbH with the support of the Governments of Switzerland and Canada and the European Union and implemented by the Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD). The meeting was conducted by Md. Fazlul Karim, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of ERA Organization.
