BNP Finalizes Candidates for 4 More Chattogram Seats; Only Two Remain Unannounced

BNP has announced candidates for 4 more seats in the remaining six out of 16 parliamentary seats in Chattogram in the 13th National Parliament election.

The party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the names of these candidates at a press conference organized at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan, the capital, on Thursday (December 4) afternoon.

Earlier, on November 3, at a press conference at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan, the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the names of 10 candidates for Chattogram in the 13th National Parliament election. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that BNP's candidates for the remaining Chattogram-11 (Bandar-Patenga) and Chattogram-14 (Chandanaish-Satkania partial) seats in Chattogram will be announced later.

Among the seats in Chattogram, Chattogram-3 (Sandwip) is the former BNP MP Mustafa Kamal Pasha, Chattogram-6 (Raujan) Central Vice Chairman (currently suspended) Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury, Chattogram-9 (Kotwali, Baklia, Chawkbazar) Chattogram South District BNP former convener Abu Sufian and Chattogram-15 (partial Lohagara-Satkania) Chattogram South District BNP senior member and Lohagara Upazila BNP former convener Nazmul Mustafa Amin. The BNP candidates for the 10 seats in Chattogram announced by BNP on November 3 are: Chattogram-1 (Mirsarai): Chattogram North District BNP former joint convener and former upazila chairman Nurul Amin Chairman. Chattogram-2 (Fatikchhari): Chattogram North District BNP former joint convener Sarwar Alamgir. Chattogram-4 (Sitakunda): Kazi Salauddin. Chattogram-5 (Hathazari): BNP Central Co-Organizing Secretary Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin. Chattogram-7 (Rangunia): BNP Central Committee member and son of the late Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, Hummam Quader Chowdhury. Chattogram-8 (Chandgaon-Boalkhali): Chattogram Metropolitan BNP convener Ershad Ullah. Chattogram-10 (Khulshi-Pahartoli): BNP Standing Committee member and former minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury. Chattogram-12 (Patia): Enamul Haque Enam, former senior joint convener of South District BNP. Chattogram-13 (Anowara-Karnaphuli): Former MP Sarwar Jamal Nizam and Chattogram-16 (Baanshkhali): Mishkatul Islam Chowdhury Pappa, son of former minister Zafrul Islam Chowdhury, joint convener of South District BNP.
