


The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organised separate programmes in Ramgarh, Khagrachari, to mark the 55th Independence Day on Thursday (March 26).
The day began with the hoisting of the National flag and party flag at the upazila BNP office at sunrise by local leaders and activists.
In the evening, a procession led by Upazila BNP President Md. Jasim Uddin started from the party office. Leaders and activists marched through the town, chanting slogans, and gathered at the local memorial.
There, leaders and members of BNP and its affiliated bodies paid tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War by placing wreaths. Participants included representatives from BNP, Mahila Dal, Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Sramik Dal, Krishak Dal, Tanti Dal, Matsyajibi Dal, Chhatra Dal, and other associated groups.
Later, a discussion meeting was held at the party office, chaired by Municipal BNP President Md. Bahar Uddin. Speakers highlighted the significance of the Liberation War and remembered the sacrifices of the martyrs.
Among those present were Khagrachari District BNP Vice-President Hafez Ahmed Bhuiyan, Joint Organising Secretary Alauddin, Upazila BNP General Secretary Safayet Morshed Bhuiyan, Municipal BNP General Secretary Shefayet Ullah, and other local leaders and activists.
