New Administrator Takes Charge at Rupganj Union

Md. Nur Nabi Bhuiyan officially took charge as the new Administrator of Rupganj Union Parishad in Narayanganj on Sunday, July 19. The formal handover ceremony, held at the Union Parishad office, marked a fresh chapter for local governance and public service in the area.

Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Farid Al Sohan presided over the event, with Rupganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Saiful Islam Joy attending as the chief guest. Additional Superintendent of Police Mehedi Islam and Rupganj Thana BNP General Secretary Md. Bashir Uddin Bachchu were present as special guests. The gathering included local representatives, government officials, and community members.

In his address, UNO Joy emphasized that the primary goal of local government is to bring services directly to the people. He urged the new administration to operate with dedication, honesty, and accountability to ensure citizens receive their rightful services. Echoing this, Md. Farid Al Sohan stressed that transparency and adherence to the law are essential for maintaining public trust.

Upon assuming his duties, Administrator Bhuiyan pledged to work sincerely for the welfare of all Rupganj Union residents. He committed to prioritizing accountability, improving local infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth implementation of social security programs. Bhuiyan also vowed to collaborate closely with newly appointed union members to build a responsive, people-friendly administration.

The ceremony concluded with guests presenting flowers to the new administrators, accompanied by a shared call for collective efforts to further develop Rupganj Union and elevate the quality of civic services.
