DIG Ehsanullah has mysteriously disappeared from the Bangladesh Police Academy, Sharda. He has been absent from the academy since Wednesday morning. The matter has created a sensation in the police department when it was reported on Friday.

Police academy sources said that a special team went to the Sharda Police Academy on Wednesday morning to arrest DIG Ehsanullah, the former police superintendent of Barisal and currently in charge of the supply department of the police academy, on charges of involvement in crossfire and extrajudicial killings. However, he fled the academy before the operation.

When asked about this, Saiful Islam, Superintendent of Police (Administration) of the Bangladesh Police Academy, said, "DIG Ehsanullah has been absent from the academy since last Wednesday. I heard that a team had come from Dhaka to arrest him. His whereabouts are not known now. The matter is being investigated."

Multiple police sources claimed that DIG Ehsanullah had already known that a team was arriving in Sharda to arrest him. After hearing the news, he quickly left the academy on a motorcycle.

DIG Ehsanullah was involved in several controversial operations during his tenure as the Superintendent of Police in Barisal. There are allegations of extrajudicial killings. A case was filed after August 5 last year. However, no official statement has been received from the police in this regard.
