A new school van has been handed over to students of Dapdapia Union School for Disabled Children in Zeropoint, Dapdapia Union, Nolchiti, to ease their daily commute.
The van, purchased at a cost of BDT 3 lakh, was funded by the Jhalokathi District Council to benefit over a hundred students.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Thursday, October 9, at 3 PM, with Nolchiti Upazila Executive Officer Lovely Yasmin as the chief guest. Former Dapdapia Union Parishad Chairman Ahidul Islam Badal, Disability Affairs Officer Md. Khairul Islam, YouthNet Global General Secretary Md. Arifur Rahman Shuvo, along with teachers, students, and guardians, were also present.
