BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie said, "Even when Hefazat-e-Islam talks, a political issue comes up. Many people are in favor of Hefazat and want to contest elections, this question has arisen. It may arise because Hefazat-e-Islam is not a political party, there are many political parties within Hefazat-e-Islam. We accept their advice in this society. Hefazat-e-Islam is a consultant or advisor for everyone or as a guardian. We have no objection to you taking those guidelines.

He said these things as a special guest at the introduction meeting of the new committee of Lakshmipur Hefazat-e-Islam on Friday (October 10) evening. This was organized under the banner of Hefazat-e-Islam.

He said, recently, I heard a speech by our acting chairman Tarique Rahman, he measured every word, he presented it with analysis, what to say about Islam, what to say about the country, what to say about neighboring countries, what to say about society, he presented everything. His last words were Bangladesh first. Democracy, society, humanity are inherent in this.

Hefazat-e-Islam's district committee president Mufti Mustaqunnabi Qasemi, general secretary Nurul Amin Qasemi, organizing secretary Hafez Zahirul Islam and former secretary of the district Jamaat, Faruk Hossain Nurnabi, were special guests.
