


Police have recovered the body of a disabled auto driver named Sohel (30) wrapped in a cast-iron mat in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj. The body was recovered from the slope of Uttar Para road in Musarchar area of the upazila on Tuesday (early morning).
The deceased Sohel is the son of Habibur Rahman of Nayapur Paschimpara area of Sadipur union of Sonargaon upazila. He was the father of a wife and two daughters.
According to family and police sources, Sohel left home in an autorickshaw on Monday afternoon. When family members tried to contact him in the evening, his mobile phone was found switched off after 8 pm. After that, a search was carried out in various possible places, but he could not be found.
On Tuesday morning, after receiving information from locals about a body lying in Musarchar area, the family members went to the spot. Later, they identified the body as Sohel's.
Razia Akhter, the wife of the deceased, said that after receiving information in the morning, she went to the spot and found her husband's body there. The body was recovered after the police were informed. Sonargaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohibullah said the body has been recovered and sent to the Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Initially, it is believed to be a murder. Police operations are continuing to identify and arrest those involved in the incident.
