


An ambulance on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway in Kaliakoir, Gazipur suddenly caught fire. On receiving the information, two units of the Kaliakoir Fire Service quickly reached the spot and worked to control the fire.
The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway in front of GMS Textile Garments in Sutrapur Union of Kaliakoir Upazila at around 6:45 pm on Monday (October 20).
Eyewitnesses said that the ambulance suddenly caught fire while it was moving on a busy evening road. The driver immediately stopped the car and got out quickly. Within a short time, the entire ambulance was engulfed in flames. Local people tried to put out the fire, but no one dared to go near it for fear of a CNG cylinder explosion.
Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Md. Alauddin said that on receiving the information, two units of Kaliakoir Fire Service reached the spot and started working to control the fire.
