


Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman departed Dhaka on Sunday morning for a five-day official visit to Turkey, following an invitation from the Turkish government.
According to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the tour aims to expand and strengthen bilateral defense cooperation between Bangladesh and Turkey.
During his stay, General Waqar-uz-Zaman will inspect various Turkish defense industrial establishments. He is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings and courtesy calls with senior leaders of Turkey's armed forces and defense sector.
The Army Chief is expected to return to Bangladesh next week upon concluding the visit.
