Md. Shahidul Hasan Senior Secretary of the Local Government Ministry, visited Faridpur Municipality and the District Council on Wednesday August 5. The visit focused on reviewing ongoing development projects evaluating public service delivery, and addressing operational challenges.

Hasan first inspected the District Council's infrastructure urging officials to accelerate regional development initiatives. He then met with Faridpur Municipality staff, emphasizing the need for sincere, citizen-centric public service to improve the quality of life for city residents.

Prioritizing environmental sustainability the Senior Secretary also toured Faridpur’s waste and polythene processing plant. He directed local authorities to modernize the facility and adopt more effective waste management practices to build an eco-friendly urban environment.

Key officials present during the visit included District Council Administrator Afzal Hossain Khan Palash Chief Executive Officer Bakahid Hossain Municipal Administrator Md. Iliasur Rahman District Council Executive Officer Sanjida Sultana and Municipal Executive Engineer Shamsul Alam.
