


Chowdhury Nayab Ibn Yusuf, MP for Faridpur-3, has announced a strategic roadmap to transform Faridpur Municipality into a modern "Clean City" by 2030. The commitment came during a high-level meeting with municipal officials and local leaders on Tuesday afternoon.
Chaired by Municipal Administrator Iliasur Rahman, the meeting focused on addressing the needs of the approximately 600,000 residents across 27 wards. The MP emphasized that development initiatives would be fast-tracked through direct coordination between his office and the municipality.
Infrastructure Immediate completion of road and drainage construction to improve connectivity and water management.
Public Health Intensified mosquito control operations and regular cleaning drives.
Urban Aesthetics Beautification of city islands, expansion of roof gardens, and the installation of solar streetlights.
Public Order Demolition of illegal structures and new measures to mitigate traffic congestion.
During the session, MP Nayab Ibn Yusuf urged officials to ensure that public services are delivered efficiently and without harassment. "We must bring quality civic facilities directly to the doorsteps of our citizens," he stated.
The meeting was attended by senior municipal staff and political leaders, including Municipal Executive Officer Tanzilur Rahman and Metropolitan BNP Convener AFM Qayyum Jangi.
