National Rural Development Day 2026 Celebrated in Daganbhuiyan

Daganbhuiyan upazila marked National Rural Development Day 2026 on Monday with the theme, "A developed and prosperous country, Bangladesh first."

Organized jointly by the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) and the local administration, the day’s programs began with a colorful rally from the Upazila Parishad premises. Over a hundred government officials, political figures, and local cooperative members participated in the march.

Following the rally, a discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad auditorium, chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Shahidul Islam. Upazila Rural Development Officer Md. Ataur Rahman Majumder delivered the welcome address.

Several local officials and leaders attended as special guests. Notable attendees included Agriculture Officer Md. Kamruzzaman, Fisheries Officer Md. Mirajul Islam, Secondary Education Officer Mohammad Ismail, BRDB Chairman Nazir Ahmed, Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Gazi Saleh Uddin, and BRDB Vice Chairman Rahim Ullah Babul.

The event concluded with an award ceremony honoring the BRDB program's most successful local beneficiaries, followed by the distribution of tree saplings to promote environmental awareness.
