A seventh-grade student was killed after his bicycle collided with a locally-made motorized vehicle (Nosimon) in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna on Sunday morning.

The deceased, 13-year-old Roni, was a student at Failjana Dhimukhi High School. He was the son of Rubel Hossain from Sap Danga village in Atgharia upazila but resided with his uncle, Sadar Ali, in Kuabashi village to pursue his studies.

Local sources said Roni was cycling toward Kuabashi market when a shallow-engine-driven Nosimon struck him, leaving him critically injured. Locals rushed him to Pabna General Hospital, where the attending physician pronounced him dead.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Shoaib Khan of the local police station stated that the body was handed over to the family without an autopsy, as they had no formal complaints regarding the incident.
