The 7th death anniversary and memorial meeting of the founding president of the National Indigenous Council, Anil Marandi, was held in Patnitala, Naogaon.
The memorial meeting was held on Wednesday (January 7) afternoon at Harirampur in Nazipur Municipality by the National Indigenous Council. Naren Chandra Pahan, General Secretary of the National Indigenous Council, presided over the meeting, with Comrade Joynal Abedin Mukul, Advisor to the National Indigenous Council, present as the chief guest.
During the event, Martin Murmu, President of the Naogaon District Branch of the National Indigenous Council, Naogaon, Kalipada Sarkar, candidate for the post of Member of Parliament for the 48th Naogaon-3 (Mahadevpur-Badalgachhi) constituency, Asir Uddin, Area Coordinator of The Hunger Project, Helal Uddin, District Coordinator, Dilip Pahan, President of the Mahadevpur Branch of the National Indigenous Council, Mithun Pahan, President of the Indigenous Student Council, Student Advisor Omar Faruk Arfin, and member of the National Indigenous Council, Paritosh Pahan, were present as guests and spoke in remembrance of Anil Marandi.
