Pubali Bank Donates Bus to Sunamganj Science and Technology University

Science and technology are indispensable for national progress in the modern era also stated Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Vice-Chancellor of Sunamganj Science and Technology University (Subiprabi). He expressed optimism that Subiprabi students would soon earn global acclaim and drive Bangladesh's technological advancement, citing Iran as an example of impressive technological growth.

Dr. Hossain made these remarks as the chief guest during a bus handover ceremony organized by Pubali Bank PLC at the university's temporary campus in Shantiganj on Friday morning.

Thanking Pubali Bank for its timely corporate social responsibility initiative, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the new vehicle will significantly ease the transportation challenges students face commuting from the city to the remote campus. "Education forms the backbone of a nation, and institutions like universities build that foundation," he added.

Muhammad Ali, Managing Director of Pubali Bank PLC, formally handed over the bus. Highlighting the bank’s nationwide commitment to supporting educational institutions, he noted that the dedicated transport is a crucial necessity for students traveling long distances to attend classes in Sunamganj.

The event was attended by notable academic and corporate figures including Subiprabi Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Sarker, Mathematics Department Chairman Prof. Dr. Haroon-or-Rashid and Pubali Bank Sylhet Principal Office General Manager Chowdhury Mohammad Shafiul Hasan.
