A healthcare agreement has been signed between Sunamganj Science and Technology University (SSTU) and Ibn Sina Hospital in Sylhet to provide medical services and corporate healthcare facilities for university staff, students and their family members.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Sunday (May 10) at the conference hall of Ibn Sina Hospital in Sylhet.

The agreement was signed on behalf of SSTU by the university’s Proctor, Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdul Latif.

Among those present were SSTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Nizam Uddin, Acting Chairman of the CSE Department Anwar Hossain Wadud, Acting Chairman of the Chemistry Department Rashed Mahmud, and Mathematics Department Lecturer Imam Mehedi.

Representatives from Ibn Sina Hospital included Additional DMS Major (Retd.) Dr. Abdus Salam Chowdhury, AGM and Head of Business Development Mohammad Obaidul Haque, Manager (Admin) and In-charge Belal Hossain, Senior Assistant Manager (Admin) Md. Zahir Uddin, Senior Assistant Manager (Corporate and Business Development) Md. Shahed Ali, Senior Business Development Officer Nur Mohammad, and Business Development Officer Emad Uddin.

Under the agreement, SSTU officers, employees, regular students and their dependents will receive special corporate healthcare facilities and medical services at Ibn Sina Hospital in Sylhet.
