The National Mosque, Baitul Mukarram, will host five separate Eid-ul-Azha prayer congregations (jamaats) on May 28, the Islamic Foundation announced.
To manage the large influx of worshippers safely and smoothly, the prayers have been scheduled in phases throughout the morning:
First Jamaat (7:00 AM): Led by Senior Pesh Imam Hafez Maulana Mufti Md Mizanur Rahman.
Second Jamaat (8:00 AM): Conducted by Dr Maulana Waliur Rahman Khan.
Third Jamaat (9:00 AM): Led by Mufti Md Abdullah.
Fourth Jamaat (10:00 AM): Led by Maulana Mohammad Nur Uddin. Fifth Jamaat (10:45 AM): Conducted by Maulana Jubair Ahamaad Al-Azhari.
The Islamic Foundation added that Maulana Md Shahidul Islam has been designated as an alternate imam to lead prayers if any scheduled leader is unavailable.
Comprehensive arrangements are underway to ensure the national mosque can comfortably accommodate the thousands of devotees expected for the festival.
