


Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon, the newly appointed Minister for Education, Primary and Mass Education, will hold a press conference today, Thursday (February 19), at 12:30 PM. The briefing will take place in the Education Ministry's meeting room at the Secretariat.
On his first day in office Wednesday, the Minister announced that the current national curriculum will undergo a comprehensive review. He is currently formulating an action plan to assess the ministry’s overall status and define future strategies, which will be detailed in today's briefing.
The Minister emphasized that the government’s primary objective is to modernize the education system to meet international standards and ensure it is employment-oriented. He committed to addressing systemic stagnation and irregularities reported over the last 17 years, aiming to build a science-based, modern curriculum.
Dr. Milon was formally welcomed by ministry officials, including the Secretary, upon his arrival at the Secretariat on Wednesday afternoon.
